Mark Goranson

With a career at ON Semiconductor spanning nearly a decade, Mark Goranson, senior vice president manufacturing, leads an expansive manufacturing footprint of over 20 front and back end factories to proactively manage those without derailing the operational goals of the different organizations within the company. Through his leadership, the operations team within ON Semiconductor has established a methodology to keep the entire team focused on a single set of well-defined priorities and had utilized a virtual factory concept, where the global team is consistently learning from each other’s best practices. Solid organizational alignment requires a clear and compelling direction. The organization routinely benchmarks performance against their semiconductor manufacturing peer group to drive continued success. Key performance indicators (KPIs), long term continuous improvement processes such as Lean Six Sigma, are additional way the organization is leading the way in manufacturing excellence.
Prior to ON Semiconductor, Goranson joined the organization with over 30 years of semiconductor industry experience. His most recent prior role was at Freescale where he was responsible for their front end operations. Prior to that, he had more than 20 years of experience working for Intel where he held numerous positions of increasing responsibility. He also has worked at Honeywell, Kulicke and Soffa. Goranson holds a degree in physics/electrical engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
