Using MEMS and optics to create a unique solution for present and future applications
poLight has developed the TLens®, tunable focusing lens enabled by specific MEMS structure. In collaboration with STMicrolectronics, the first MOEMS TLens has been put in mass production. It has been adopted in many different products such as mobile cameras and other consumer products, as well as industrial and medical applications. The technology has the potential to be used in automotive devices for which reliability are more demanding. poLight will present its current TLens MEMS structure as well as new product concept like the TWedge® which will be key for emerging applications such as AR-VR.
Jon is VP of Business Development at poLight. He has spent his career in the camera module industry, working for companies such as Cambridge Mechatronics, Optotune, Sony, STMicro and CMOS Image sensor pioneer VLSI Vision. He holds a Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Edinburgh.
