Elke is an experienced senior researcher at Fraunhofer IISB and member of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, chair for electron devices, with a demonstrated history of work in different research environments from fundamental to applied research. Highly experienced as national and international collaborator for industry and academic partners in the field of nitride semiconductor crystal growth, materials development, technology, R&D of novel semiconductor materials and innovative semiconductor characterization and metrology. After more than 20 year in research in nitride semiconductor materials, she now represents the strategic business development semiconductor materials and technology at Fraunhofer IISB.
Fraunhofer IPMS is a leading international research and development service provider for electronic and photonic microsystems in the application fields of Smart Industrial Solutions, Bio and Health, Mobility as well as Green and Sustainable Microelectronics. Research focuses on customer-specific miniaturized sensors and actuators, MEMS systems, microdisplays and integrated circuits as well as wireless and wired data communication, neuromorphic and quantum computing. Services range from consulting and design to process development and pilot series production.
